Create Collaborate Collective Inc (NFP) will run the exhibition and events.

The Queanbeyan Hive is the Venue/Gallery: 274 Crawford Street, Queanbeyan, NSW 2620.

Gallery Exhibition Terms & Conditions

Opening hours

• Gallery will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am-3pm.  Friday evening 5-9pm

• Exhibition will run over three weekend. 

• Bump out will be after 3pm on the last day of the exhibition. ie 3pm on Sunday 

• Bump in will be on the weekend prior to the exhibition opening. Time tbc.​​

• Official exhibition opening will be 6pm on the first Friday evening.

Artists are responsible for

• Signing the exhibition contract and pay the agreed hire fees.

• Supplying requested information that promotes your work, art practice and your background story.

• Clearly marking artworks with your name, the title of your work and sale price.

• Arranging any artwork insurance.

• Supplying framed artworks appropriately ready for hanging.

• Supplying a spreadsheet of all exhibiting artworks including sizes, sale price, title and medium. 

• Installation and curation of the exhibition if required.

• Send out invitations for the official opening.

• Sitting the Gallery on the weekends during the opening hours.

• Available for a 'meet the artist' hour on the second Saturday of the Exhibition showing 

• Providing  food for the opening night and organising a guest speaker.

• ​Collecting unsold artworks.

• Organisation of the transfer of sold artworks to the buyers. 

 

Create Collaborate Collective Inc (CCC Inc) will

• Supply all the hanging and display infrastructure. Plinths can be arranged with notice.

• Curate and bump in and bump out of the exhibition.

• Preparation and printing of the room sheets.

• Provide public liability insurance.

• Promote the exhibition on the ATDW & social media channels. 

• Manage all artwork and merchandise sales.

• Minding the Gallery on Fridays from 10am-9pm

 

Sales

• 25% commission will be taken from all artwork and merchandise sales. 

• Artists can expect to receive their payment via direct debit within 4 weeks of the final payment from the buyer. 

 

Taxes

• Artists need to provide Create Collaborate Collective Inc with a current ABN if they are a business.

• In the absence of an ABN number being provided the artist is declaring that their works have been made in the course of furtherance of an activity done as a private recreational pursuit or hobby.

 

Conditions

• All artworks will have to be assessed for the suitability of the curated exhibition and for the spaces that we have. We may not accept works that we feel do not meet exhibition standards, are unfinished, wet or deemed dangerous to gallery visitors or do not fit with the spaces.

• Internal wall mounted artworks must not exceed 2m x 2m and heavy artworks, sculptural pieces and multimedia installations will have to be assessed on application to see if we can accommodate these appropriately.

• All work exhibited must have been produced or curated by the exhibiting artist/s. It is the artists responsibility to ensure there is no infringement of copyright laws.

• Sold artworks must remain on display throughout the duration of the exhibition.

• The Queanbeyan Hive has the right to facilitate bookings of the gallery space outside of the gallery hours.

• While all reasonable care will be taken, Create Collaborate Collective Inc and The Queanbeyan Hive will not be held responsible for any damage or loss of art work that may occur during or after the exhibition.

 

Social Media

• We will promote our exhibiting artists before and during the exhibition and where possible.

• We encourage cross-promotion between gallery and artist.

 

Photography 

• The gallery will take and publish photographs of your work in the exhibition for promotional purposes on social media channels and for archive on the gallery website.

• The gallery reserves the right to use these photographs free of charge to promote the exhibition and gallery before, during and after the exhibition.

• Copyright will always remain with the artist.
