Australian National Heritage Festival
Before sunrise Simon set off for an interview with ABC Canberra about our open weekend and arrived at the studio just as a gorgeous day was dawning. Ngunnawal elder Tina Brown started things off at the Hive with a magnificent purification ceremony and welcome to country. We had a steady flow of visitors all day admiring the artwork, the building and Helen's fantastic gigantic heritage history billboard.
The Create Collaborate Collective fundraising bar and barbie did a brisk trade and Katrina was an absolute Trojan in the Reception kitchen. In the afternoon there was a beautiful atmosphere out the back with live music, dancing and a real sense of created community. David Bath played an epic solo set and as the shadow of the sunset crept across the yard, Positive Feedback Loop hit the stage to play a soulful playful semi-acoustic show.
