The original skirting boards have been slowly pulled off, lovingly restored and carefully replaced. Some of them were badly damaged so we got replacement boards in from an old home in Sydney of the same era to ensure we keep to the Heritage style. We found part of an old Capstan cigarette pack behind one of them, that may date back to 1910 or so when the cottage was built.
